Web / Mobile Project Manager

The Web / Mobile Project Manager is responsible for the daily management of client projects at APAX Software. This includes requirements gathering, sprint planning, change control, regular reporting, facilitating meetings and communication, following-up on tasks, and mitigating risks. This position reports to the President of APAX Software and is expected to be able to work in close collaboration.



  • Ensures the overall success of multiple projects, as defined by the customer, budget, and timeline. Ability to balance the needs of multiple projects with competing deadlines

  • Ensures project adherence to agile software development methodologies

  • Monitors the project budget including project funding, forecasting project hours, and worked project hours

  • Monitors project results against original scope and utilize change control effectively to keep stakeholders aligned with progress

  • Works to resolve conflict and mitigate issues throughout the project lifecycle

  • Builds relationships with clients by facilitating meetings, obtaining client feedback, and maintaining strong collaborations.

  • Sells additional services to clients to increase revenues over planned targets. Assists with ongoing maintenance and support after project completion

  • Manages billability of project hours to defined goals, and allocates resources to projects as needed

  • Documents and resolved client reported issues and concerns throughout the project

  • Assists with the presales process including discovery meetings and writing statements of work

  • Prepares status reports and keeps project team members, stakeholders, and management appraised of progress and issues

  • Identifies changes to the original specifications and presents them to stakeholders for approval

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of Project Management experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Client Management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple software implementation and development projects

  • Experience using agile project tracking tools (JIRA, Pivotal Tracker, etc.)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to lead client and internal team through the project lifecycle process

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous management and leadership experience

  • Ability to work on site in Lexington, KY 5 days a week
