You have a talent for breaking down and solving problems necessary for building complex content management systems. You like to work with a small team to work on features across a variety of projects. You approach programming with collaboration and a consulting mindset when working with stakeholders. You are driven to ship solutions and have a passion for balancing quality with delivery. You are interested in learning new technologies and advancing your technical skill set.
Position
As a Software Engineer, you'll build exciting systems and provide ongoing support as part of a product development team of designers, software engineers, project managers, and QA specialists.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, estimation, development, and deployment
- Assist with new features, enhancements, bug resolution, and unit testing
- Attend status meetings with clients to provide updates and projected completion dates
- Assist the project manager with sprint planning and sizing of tasks and be responsible for maintaining a steady velocity each sprint
- Review and help respond to client requests
- Read and write code in a team environment utilizing the GitHub Flow workflow
- Maintain good test coverage of systems, which includes writing test cases for new features
- Minimize risks and effectively discuss problems relating to assigned projects
What To Bring
- Experience with full-stack web application development
- Our preferred server-side tech: TypeScript/Next, Python / Django, PHP / Drupal, or C# / .NET
- Our preferred client-side tech: React or Angular
- Database experience
- History of working with Agile software development teams
- Experience using Amazon Web Services or other IaaS or PaaS solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
