Location

Remote, with preference for hybrid candidates near Lexington, KY.

 

Position

As a Software Engineer, you'll build exciting systems and provide ongoing support as part of a product development team of designers, software engineers, project managers, and QA specialists.

 

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, estimation, development, and deployment

  • Assist with new features, enhancements, bug resolution, and unit testing

  • Attend status meetings with clients to provide updates and projected completion dates

  • Assist the project manager with sprint planning and sizing of tasks and be responsible for maintaining a steady velocity each sprint

  • Review and help respond to client requests

  • Read and write code in a team environment utilizing the GitHub Flow workflow

  • Maintain good test coverage of systems, which includes writing test cases for new features

  • Minimize risks and effectively discuss problems relating to assigned projects 

 

What To Bring

  • Experience with full-stack web application development

    • Our preferred server-side tech: Python / Django, PHP / Drupal, or C# / .NET

    • Our preferred client-side tech: React or Angular

  • Database experience

  • History of working with Agile software development teams

  • Experience using Amazon Web Services or other IaaS or PaaS solutions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
