UI Designer

Location
REMOTE, Contiguous U.S., with a hub in Lexington, KY.
What You'll Do

Conduct user research and analysis of existing designs in order to understand user needs and product goals, either in collaboration with UX designers or independently

Conduct competitor analysis to understand how users might expect the product to look and behave based on their experience with similar products

Understand graphic design principles such as typography and color palettes and feel comfortable designing logos and individual UI elements such as buttons, icons and forms

Design the interactive properties of different UI elements (i.e. design states, transitions, animations)

Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate the look and feel of the UI before it’s developed

Document specifics to make for a smooth transition to development teams

Develop and maintain a UI style guide to ensure design consistency

Understand and design atomic design principles and design systems

Collaborate with a cross-functional team

What You’ll Bring
You possess a talent for creating visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience and drive user engagement. You have experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, and UX designers to translate business requirements into visually stunning and functional UI designs. You have a strong eye for design, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and excellent proficiency in industry-standard design tools.
