Location
REMOTE, Contiguous U.S., with a hub in Lexington, KY.


What You'll Do

  • Assist clients in needs assessment gathering

  • Prepare research proposals

  • Prepare cost estimates at varying levels of detail

  • Conduct secondary user research including: Collect and distill data and behavioral analytics (i.e. Google Analytics and Hotjar), conduct competitive analysis, conduct performance and UX audits

  • Conduct primary research using methods including: user interviews, think-aloud sessions, card sorting, surveys, system usability scales

  • Create affinity diagrams

  • Create user personas and user journey maps

  • Create site maps, service blueprints, and any other information architecture deliverables necessary

  • Create user flows

  • Create low to high fidelity wireframes and clickable prototypes

  • Design style guides and atomic design systems

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team

  • Be okay with terrible puns

 

What You’ll Bring
You consider yourself a UX/UI design generalist with 3+ years of experience who will constantly be a champion for users throughout the entirety of every project. You possess a wide and diverse skill set that allows you to operate autonomously as a design team of 1. From project to project you can draw from these skill sets to build empathy for users' needs, values, fears, and goals and then use this knowledge to create intuitive, meaningful, user-friendly, beautiful, and memorable web and app experiences. You believe that insight, inspiration, and creativity can come from anyone and anywhere at any time. You are a disciple of, and evangelist for, design thinking and collaboration. You are an active listener and are constantly in search of the ah-ha moments.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud - XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

  • Google - Forms, Sheets, Slides, Docs

  • UX and Prototyping - Figma, Sketch, InVision, Proto.io

  • Confluence & Jira

 

Bonus Points

  • Post graduate degree in human-centered design, graphic design, interaction design, psychology, computer science, industrial design, design management

  • Completed UX Certification Course(s)

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience with Drupal CMS

  • Experience working in agile software development
